covers a great 2,276 statute miles with beaches covering a further
663 miles.

4,308 square miles covered by water include 7,700 lakes covering
over 10 acres, 27 springs and within these areas you will also
find 4,500 islands of varying size.
North to South Florida covers 447 miles in length (St. Marys River
to Key West) & 361 miles (Atlantic Ocean to Perdido River) East
to West in width.
